Dasha and Geet's Sikh wedding ceremony was held in a rustic, open air barn in Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. The natural light shining in through the door and wooden wall slats made for some glorious photos of the couple as they were married, surrounded by family and close friends. This wedding portrait of the bride and groom bathed in beautiful natural light showcases their tenderness toward each other. They were two people so full of love and peace that day. Witnessing their union was truly moving.
Sikh and other Indian wedding ceremonies are so enjoyable to shoot, with the variety of rich and brightly colored garments, intricately detailed mendhi, and abundance of vibrant flowers. But above all, Indian weddings are a celebration of family. I enjoy photographing every kind of ceremony and being amongst this generosity of love abundant.
