The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) is a truly one of a kind wedding venue. Situated in Baltimore’s Federal Hill, along the Inner Harbor waterfront, AVAM is the perfect venue for original and offbeat brides and grooms, as well as traditionalists looking for a place with a little bit of extra color and individualistic flair.
Wedding photos from AVAM have a magical aura to them, reflective of just what brides and grooms want to feel on that most special of days. The museum’s collection of art along with its decor is eclectic and enchanting; it is a playground from a childhood fantasy dream. The Wildflower Garden is a secluded urban oasis; the first floor gallery in the JRVC building an eclectic wonderland of robots, replicas of Baltimore rowhomes, a rotating statue of Divine, and a giant fluffy pink poodle. Outside, AVAM’s main museum building is itself a reflective mosaic backdrop of recycled mirror, glass, and china. The plethora of photoshoot ideas abounds.
I love shooting weddings at The American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, as well as on top of the adjacent Federal Hill and Inner Harbor waterfront.
